Guildwood Garage Addition

Nestled into the Guildwood neighbourhood, this bungalow had a detached garage situated far into the rear yard. We designed a new garage which is attached to the house in order to remove the detached garage and instead build a new garden suite there for the owner’s aging parents. Along with the garage addition, the front porch was redesigned with a vaulted, cedar-lined ceiling. The stone on the front of the house was replaced and the roof was changed to a raised seam metal roof. The new stone was carried onto the garage with a stucco finish above which ties it into the new garden suite. The large doors off the rear of the garage allow for a trailer to be stored in the rear yard.
