Bungalow Revitalization
Basement - 824 sq.ft. | Ground - 824 sq.ft. | Second - 824 sq.ft.
We took a typical post-war bungalow and designed a second floor concept addition on top whilst completely changing the interior layout. Although the ground floor is mainly open concept, a front positioned study can still be closed off from the rest of the space with double pocket doors. The kitchen is now at the rear of the home and walks out onto a covered deck with a BBQ and dining area. The primary bedroom on the second floor spans the width of the rear of the home to hold a 5-piece ensuite and walk-in closet. The exterior facade was refaced into a contemporary modern aesthetic utilizing stone, stucco, composite wood siding, and a raised seam metal roof. The front landscaping utilizes black mulch to increase the vibrant colours of the plants and is broken up with a pea gravel stream winding down to the street. The fencing was also done in a modern layout to reinforce the contemporary modern aesthetic and provide a cohesive curb appeal to the home.
