This 2-storey garden suite is the maximum size permitted in Toronto. The ground floor holds a 2-car garage with storage along with the entry foyer to the second floor unit with space for laundry, mechanical, and storage. The second floor is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom suite with an open kitchen/living/dining space. The windows were placed to maintain privacy in the suite but still bring in natural light and views to the exterior which are supplemented with skylights. On the exterior, the grey corrugated metal siding wraps the suite. A black aluminum canopy punctuates the facade to transition to a stone base on the main wall of the suite. Due to the size of the lot, there’s almost a 60’ deep backyard behind the suite still for ample outdoor space.
