The existing detached garage in the rear yard was demolished to make way for a new 2-storey garden suite. The ground floor still holds a garage and storage space along with a separate access point that leads to the bachelor concept second floor suite. The second floor holds 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open kitchen/living/dining area. The vaulted ceilings provide a loft style feel. The exterior holds a dark aesthetic with dark grey siding, windows, doors, and roofing. The canopy over the doors adds a colour punch with a cedar tone composite siding. Aside from the dormer facing the backyard, skylights bring in natural light to the second floor which provides privacy to the homeowner, tenant, and neighbours.
